Very juicy and nicely defined, with a beam of blueberry, linzer torte and red licorice notes woven with a roasted vanilla note. An extra note of fruitcake marks the grippy finish. Drink now through 2013.

Alain Jaume is a negociant label for Domaine Grand Veneur. Since 1826, the Jaumes have maintained the best terriors in the Rhone Valley. Today Sebastien and Christophe are beginning to run the family estate. Rasteau is one of the villages of Côtes du Rhone. The deep garnet, edged with purple, wine has aromas and flavors of plum, raspberry, cranberry, blueberry and black pepper, and a long finish. It is lush and round, rich and juicy. This is a delicious wine with depth and style! Serve with steak, lamb stew or roast venison. A votre santé!
