89 pts. Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate: October, 2004
The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in 100% French oak for 12 months. It reveals a dense ruby/purple hue along with notes of licorice, black currants, tobacco leaf, and vanilla. This rich, concentrated, impressively endowed Cabernet can be drunk now or cellared for a decade.

This is a stunning example of what Austrailia can do with Cabernet. Rich and lush dark berry and cassis flavors drift by and linger on the palate. Soft French oak and smooth tannins round out and give this wine admirable strength without going overboard. A delicious wine that pairs well with meats straight from the barbie.

Dark purply, almost opaque color with soft vanilla, oak, blackberry and anise aromas. A big, robust wine offering mouthfuls of chewy, smoky fruits with balanced tannins and a spicy finish. Excellent depth and expression of Cabernet’s darker side.
