Mike Ammermuller: July 25, 2008
An elegantly dark eggplant-purple hue introduces you to this wine. The enticing aromas of black cherry, oak and vanillin draw you into this feathery-soft Bordeaux. As hospitable as the black cherry and oak tastes are, the Provençal herbal layers, which should be drawn out with some decanting, invite you to stay longer. Best enjoyed with roasted lamb or something gamey.

A lovely Saint-Émilion, rooted in rich berry fruit. With its supple tannins and generous fruit, this Merlot-based wine can be enjoyed now or over the next few years.
