I never met Gus, but the stories of his prowess are legendary in dog circles. Rumor has it he invented the “dog paddle,” though scholars have long argued that swimming is an instinctive canine skill (and who am I to argue?). At any rate, I hear he was a very sweet dog, which seems to jibe with the name and character of this wine. I love it, especially after a dip in the pool or a hole-digging session in the backyard.

Named after the Hunt Family’s Bernese Mountain Dog, this sweet blush blend is full of the grapey goodness that makes native grapes like Catawba so popular.
