Although the aromas are timid, hinting at fresh herbs, the structure of this sauvignon is powerful — almost tannic — surrounded by a lemony acidity that bridges the wine’s power and juicy citrus flavors.

The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc was fermented and raised in stainless steel. It exhibits an enticing nose of fresh herbs, spring flowers, baking spices, and citrus. Medium-bodied, crisp, and savory, this tasty effort will pair splendidly with oysters and clams. Drink this excellent value over the next 12–18 months.

Bright straw. Spice and herb-accented aromas of citrus zest and green apple, enriched by a deeper honeysuckle nuance. Dry, taut and linear, offering dusty lemon and grapefruit flavors, along with a suggestion of melon. Shows good clarity and closes with fine cut and lingering spiciness. I like this wine’s uncompromising character.

The nose shows the traditional “wild” and expressive aromas of Sauvignon Blanc: boxwood and shrub followed by notes of chives and fruit such as pineapple, lime, green apple and white peach. The mouth is fresh, juicy and balanced. Good persistence. The grapes from Casablanca and Leyda bring in a fruity and mineral touch, while those from the Andean foothills contribute with volume and a creamy texture.
