Nice, bakery-like bouquet. Palate entry is raisiny sweet and focused on dried red fruits, honey and trail mix-like flavors; midpalate comes up with a citrus zestiness as well as an almond background taste that goes well with the fruit peel. Fruity and nutty finish.

Ochre/dark amber color; excellent clarity. Smells of vines/grapes and brambles/berries in the initial whiffs after the pour; aeration directs the aroma away from vegetation/fresh fruit and points it towards dried fruit and fruit pastry, like prune Danish and cobblers, as the bouquet turns more bakery-like than fruit stand-like. Palate entry is raisiny sweet and focused on dried red fruits, honey, and trail mix-like flavors; midpalate comes up with an orange/citrus zestiness as well as an almond/walnut background taste that goes well with the fruit peel. Ends up fruity and nutty. Better than I remember from 15 years ago. Recommended.
