Opaque purple. Aromatic nose combines boysenberry and cherry liqueur, fruitcake and candied licorice. Pliant and deep, with palate-coating sweetness and a refreshing jolt of peppery spice adding life to the black and blue fruit flavors. Rich and ripe but there's very good energy here too. Finishes long and spicy, with a persistent note of candied licorice.
