Crazy little wine, this. Little only in terms of production — it is not little in the timid sense. Huge, powerful black and blue fruits jump out of the glass, inviting you to take taste after taste. There are some interesting things on the mid- and end-palate, too. Spice, pepper, and a hint of licorice. 100% stainless steel fermentation, so the fruit really shines, but with enough tannic structure that it does restrain that fruit. Bring on the osso buco!
