Bill Logue: June 4, 2011
Flinty nose with a touch of sea salt that carries through to the palate. Very crisp and clean, with hints of lemon-lime, and a touch of quinine. The finish lingers a bit, with some of the salinity rounding it out. If you are looking for the perfect wine with oysters, you’ve found it. The grape is the traditional Melon de Bourgogne, indigenous to the Loire.

A lighter style of Muscadet, with vibrant acidity and crisp citrus notes initially, leading into softer tropical fruit elements on the finish. Great with any kind of seafood, but this wine is particularly outstanding with shellfish.

Pale yellow with greenish highlights; intense floral bouquet with overtones of spice and fruit. The richness and balance make it an excellent companion for a wide variety of seafood and white meat dishes. It is enjoyable young, but will age well for several years to come. It is grown in a mixture of volcanic rock and light, stony soil.
