Whether you are having an elegant garden- dinner party or a full blown Fourth of July blast next weekend, you may be in need of an excellent red wine that will pair well with a filet mignon or charcoaled dogs and burgers. Then you should drop in at our store and sample the Rubus 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.
The name of this wine coincidentally corresponds with one of its tasting notes. The name Rubus means "raspberry" in Latin and it is the name given to the genus of flowering plants in the rose family. There is a significant scent of black raspberry on the nose along with currant and spice- mainly cinnamon. The black raspberry and currant is repeated on the palate along with chocolate with a bit of oak and cherry. From the first velvety sip to the lingering finish, this wine remains smooth and very well balanced. This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and it is delicious.
Get ready to fire up the grill and have a glass of this beauty handy while you are preparing your burgers and hotdogs. On the other hand, if you’re making that grilled- to- perfection fillet; get ready to be stunned when you have a sip of this wine just before you take a bite of that juicy and pink piece of meat. Wow….
