Critical Acclaim
VN93+Vinous Dec 2016
"Deep ruby-red. Deep, reticent aromas of blood orange, red currant and gunflint; aroma-wise, this is very different from the Moganazzi and the San Lorenzo. Then very herbal and floral, offering subdued red cherry fruit and pomegranate flavors. Finishes long and with mouth-coating but noble tannins that will need plenty of cellaring. This wine actually reminded me a lot of Tenuta delle Terre Nere’s Guardiola bottling." (93+ pts.)
Italy is famous for its powerful, sleek, and elegant reds wines from ancient growing areas with legendary names such as Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, Montepulciano. Italian white wines are also gaining popularity: Orvieto, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon are excellent examples of Italian white wines.
Wines of Italy are complex and flavorful, much like the culture that is their source and the cuisine that is their match.
