Chillable Reds for Summer drinking

Chillable Reds for Summer drinking |

The warmth and humidity of summer causes us to stray from red wines in search of refreshment from white and rosé wines, or even a cocktail. But, there is something about red wine that scratches a certain itch, and reds just can't be replaced in certain dining or social situations. We've compiled a list of reds that we think taste better served cool. The wines shouldn't be served ice cold, probably somewhere between 55 to 60 degrees is ideal. Try a few and just chill.

The 2018 Vino Rosso Munaloss, a blend of Nebbiolo, Croatina and Barbera, is absolutely exquisite. It needs a bit of air for a light sheen of reduction to blow off. Crushed red fruit, dried flowers, mountain herbs and bright, saline notes give the Munaloss so much character. Translucent and weightless in the glass, the Munaloss captures the elegant, aromatic signatures that make the mountain wines of Alto Piemonte so incredibly appealing.
