SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2022
Leads with warm ganache and fig bread notes, followed quickly by raspberry reduction accents that take some time to unwind. Showcases plum pâte de fruit, sanguine and black licorice notes, with a flicker of Turkish coffee underscoring the finish and giving this a decidedly dark profile in the end. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Vaccarèse and Muscardin. Best from 2024 through 2038. 900 cases made, 670 cases imported. (James Molesworth)
JD92+92–94 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 11/3/2021
The 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes is cut from the same cloth as the base cuvée yet brings more mid-palate depth and richness. It’s a classic 2020, with elegance, freshness, and purity as well as loads of Provençal charm. It should drink nicely right out of the gate yet also evolve for 10–15 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

Louis Jadot Corton-Pougets Grand Cru

Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot
2020 / 750 ml.

Item #: 58882

SP9696 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2023
Intense and tightly wound, this red is firmly structured and energetic, featuring cherry, strawberry, stone and spice flavors, with the acidity and tannins lending support for future evolution. All the components are there, this just needs a few years to knit together. Best from 2027 through 2045. 258 cases made, 129 cases imported. (Bruce Sanderson)
VN94+94–96 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2021
The 2020 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru is often one of Jadot’s strongest cards amongst the Côte de Beaune reds and this is no different. It has a captivating bouquet with earthy red fruit, graphite, just a faint hint of menthol that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, lightly spiced with a dash of white pepper towards the sustained finish. It will require several years in bottle to show its best, but it will be worth waiting for. (Neal Martin)
RP93+93–95 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 20th Jan 2022
The 2020 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is excellent, mingling aromas of cherries and raspberries with notions of raw cocoa, orange rind, warm spices and smoke. Full-bodied, velvety and layered, it’s deep and concentrated, with powdery tannins, bright acids and a long, resonant finish. (William Kelley)

Rich, with a spicy nose, this offers flavors of fig, dried apricot, mango and ginger. Complex and elegant, delivering concentrated crème brûlée and tropical fruit notes that linger on the vibrant and buttery finish. Drink now.
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 15, 2023
Lovely, with a mix of persimmon, white peach, hazelnut, green tea and singed alder notes all moving together in streamlined harmony. The long, elegant finish has nice latent energy. Drink now. 8,000 cases imported. (James Molesworth)
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2006
Although this famous name has produced quite a light 20-year-old, that lightness is more than made up for by the beautiful, smooth flavors, the taste of lemon jelly, dried apricots and peaches, and fine, fresh acidity.

Margerum M5

2021 / 750 ml.

Item #: 59751

SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2023
Structure meets polish in this full-bodied blend, which offers deep blackberry and raspberry flavors that interplay with licorice, smoked pepper and garrigue and finish with well-buffed tannins. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Counoise and Cinsault. Drink now through 2032. 2,792 cases made. (Tim Fish)
VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2023
The 2021 M5, Margerum’s Grenache-based Rhône blend, is superb. Deep and vibrant to the core, the M5 is another knock-out in this range. Dark red/blue fruit, spice, leather, tobacco and dried herbs are all dialed up in this deep, fleshy red. (Antonio Galloni)
WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023
Lovely and lively aromas of strawberry, rosewater, lavender and brisk melon show on the nose of this reliably enjoyable blend of 44% Grenache, 31% Syrah, 14% Mourvèdre, 6% Counoise and 5% Cinsault. Dry tannins frame the crisp, juicy flavors of pomegranate, hibiscus and raspberry on the easygoing palate. (Matt Kettmann)
JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/30/2023
Moving to the reds, the 2021 M5 Red checks in as 44% Grenache, 31% Syrah, 14% Mourvèdre, and nearly equal doses of Counoise and Cinsault. Its semi-opaque medium ruby hue is followed by vibrant, crunchy aromas and flavors of black cherries, mulberries, peppery herbs, and subtle flowers. This medium-bodied, juicy, elegant red is nicely balanced, has fine tannins, and the fresher, crisp style of the estate. It’s perfect for enjoying over the coming 3–5 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
