The 2021 Malbec offers varietal and regional typicity at a very affordable price. There are violets, berries and a touch of sweet spices with a juicy and round palate with almost unnoticeable tannins. (Luis Gutiérrez)

  7. Evodia

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#52701

    JD9393 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - March 22, 2021
Based on 100% Garnacha, the 2019 Evodia is a killer value that delivers incredible Garnacha flair at a crazy good price. Kirsch, blackberry, acacia flower, violet, and sandalwood notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, seamless, beautifully layered wine with fabulous tannins, no hard edges, and a great, great finish. This is the finest wine at this price point in the world. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP90+90+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Apr 2020
The 2019 Evodia is pure Garnacha from old head-pruned vines in the Sierra Santa Cruz in Calatayud. It fermented with around 20% full clusters in concrete and matured mostly in concrete with just 20% of the blend put in used oak barrels for three months. There is a component that matured in concrete egg that I was able to taste separately that seems to bring a touch of freshness to the final blend, something welcomed in a warm year like 2019, which seems like a fresher version of 2017, when the wines achieved quite good ripeness. The nose opens up nicely in the glass and is quite aromatic and floral, exuberant, with a heady touch of ripe fruit. It’s young and tasty, tender and pleasant to drink, with a forward personality. A real bargain. I hope there are more wines like this in Aragon, where the wealth of Garnacha vineyards would make it possible quite easily. 150,000 bottles produced. There are two batches per year. What I tasted had been bottled in February 2020, just a few days before I sampled it.

  10. Honoro Vera Garnacha

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#46925

    RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 11th Nov 2021
The young and unoaked 2020 Honoro Vera Garnacha was produced with grapes from vines averaging 40 years of age and matured in oak barrels for a couple of months, as they want to keep the young profile and the intensity of fruit without makeup. It’s juicy, with varietal notes of wild berries, flowers and herbs and a mellow palate with very soft tannins and mellow acidity. 600,000 bottles produced. (Luis Gutiérrez)

  12. Borsao Garnacha

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#55779

    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2021
Brilliant magenta. Smoke-tinged dark berries, cracked pepper and a hint of gaminess on the pungent nose. Chewy and tightly focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and boysenberry flavors that unfurl and become sweeter on the back half. Lingers with very good persistence on the finish, which features silky tannins and a strong echo of sweet blue fruit. This wine is ridiculously easy to drink and delivers really great value. 14. Chateau Ste. Michelle Dry Riesling

    2021 / 750 ml. | Item#35285

    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2022
This wine is consistently one of the best values in the world, and the latest vintage does not disappoint. The aromas enchant, with notes of Nestea Lemon Iced Tea, peach, citrus, lime leaf and honeysuckle. Dry, straight-down-the fairway lime and other citrus flavors follow. The balance is impressive. (Sean P. Sullivan)
    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 10/22
Ste. Michelle’s Dry Riesling is a benchmark for the category, lean with scents of lemon and a hint of peach, flavors that are juicy and light, with refreshing acidity for an afternoon sip.
