    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 7/1/2020
This is a rounded wine, with proper herbal flavors as well as ripe gooseberry and citrus. It is textured, mineral and still young. It will likely be at its best from 2021.

    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2019
Glimmering red. Spice-accented red fruit and rose oil on the nose, along with notes of white pepper, allspice and musky earth. Juicy and focused in the mouth, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors with a touch of medicinal bitterness. Turns sweeter with air and shows very good energy on the persistent finish, which is firmed by dusty, fine-grained tannins that fold smoothly into the wine’s fruit.

Some modern, meaty oak and spice, laid across ripe dark cherries and plums here. The palate has a very smooth and slick feel with a succulent, juicy and attractively fresh, dark-plum finish. Handy depth. Drink or hold.

Very ripe and slightly raw oak over black fruit and coconut candy. The palate has dense, chewy fruit and really assertive tannins. Needs a year or two to settle in.

  5. Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#35998

    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2021
Concentrated and creamy but not overly showy, this wine is balanced, restrained and layered. It meshes an apple-tart flavor with subtle vanilla and nutmeg nuances while underlying acidity achieves excellent balance.
    VN8989 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2019 Chardonnay Vintner’s Reserve is very pretty and floral. Citrus, almond and dried flowers open nicely, followed by tropical notes that grace the finish. In 2019, the Vintner’s Reserve is a bit lighter than it typically is. Even so, it remains one of the greatest — if not the greatest — value in estate wine made in sufficient scale. It can be found pretty much anywhere.
    JD8888 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
The larger production 2019 Chardonnay Vintners Reserve is a charmer, with clean citrus and melon fruits as well as a medium-bodied, nicely balanced, juicy, clean, and easy-drinking style on the palate. It’s another solid, well-made wine from this team.

  6. La Marca Prosecco

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#23859

    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2007
A delicate, well-balanced Prosecco, showing a good blend of baked apple, sour lemon and grapefruit, with a lightly creamy mineral texture on the palate. Medium froth, with some body and a pleasant lemon and mineral finish. Drink now.
    BD8989 pts. - Beverage Dynamics - May/Jun 2011
Fresh citrus with hints of honey and white flowers on the nose; soft, light and delicate; delicious.
    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - August 1, 2013
Scents of dried grasses and sweet apples carry through this Prosecco. It lasts on nutty flavors, pleasantly balanced for sipping on the beach.
    WE8787 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2012
Widely available, this easy Prosecco offers fresh aromas of citrus, stone fruit and honey. It’s elegantly packaged with a light blue label that would look gorgeous at a lunchtime table set by the pool.

  7. Tolaini Al Passo

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#55623

    JS9494 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Wednesday, April 28, 2021
A beautiful, ripe wine, offering plums and chocolate, as well as tile and walnuts. It’s full and layered with beautiful fruit and caressing tannins. Rock on. Drink in 2022.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2020
The 2017 Al Passo is a blend of equal parts Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Open-knit and plaint, with soft curves, the 2017 offers tons of immediacy. Cedar, tobacco, dried herbs and macerated cherry all meld together in an inviting, mid-weight Tuscan red to drink over the next decade or so.
    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Apr 2021
The Tolaini 2017 Al Passo is always an ambitious wine that takes the best of the grapes in its blend: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Each give freshness, structure and textural fiber. Al Passo opens to dark berry fruit and plum, with spice, tobacco and tilled earth. This is a well-priced wine that promises lots of pairings, especially out of a Tuscan cookbook.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2021
A mix of black cherry, black currant, cedar, iron and tobacco flavors grace this taut red. Nicely balanced and vibrant, ends with a long, tobacco- and spice-tinged finish. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2027. 8,850 cases made, 6,000 cases imported.

    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/22/2021
All Chardonnay brought up in used demi-muids, the 2019 La Colline Aux Fossiles sports a medium gold hue to go with terrific stone fruits, caramelized citrus, white flowers, and honeysuckle-like aroma and flavors as well as a beautiful sense of minerality that emerges with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied and beautifully textured, with a layered mouthfeel and a great finish, it’s another knockout Chardonnay from the team of Eric Solomon and Jean-Marc Lafage.

  10. Château Le Devoy Martine Lirac Via Secreta

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#55584

    RP91+91–93 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2019
The 2018 Lirac Via Secreta includes a healthy 40% Mourvèdre, with the rest of the assemblage evenly divided among Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. While the nose is subdued, with just hints of cherries and mint, the palate is full-bodied, ripe and expansive, framed by silky tannins. It’s almost creamy, yet vibrant at the same time, with a fresh, zesty finish.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2020
Loads of violet and lilac perfume accent fresh, primary blackberry and plum flavors in this irresistibly fruity blend of Mourvèdre (40%), Cinsault (20%), Grenache (20%) and Syrah (20%). It’s not a deeply complex wine but voluptuous and immediately likable. Fine, feathery tannins and a touch of minerality linger on the finish. Ready now but should hold through 2024.

    JD9595 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/22/2021
All Grenache brought up in demi–muids and aged on lees for 8 months, the medium ruby/purple hued color of the 2019 Cuvée Nicolas is followed by a killer bouquet of kirsch liqueur, savory spices, cured meats, and peppery garrigue. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and gorgeously textured, it has wonderful richness with no sensation of weight or heaviness. It’s another insane value from this team.

  12. Château Marjosse Bordeaux Rouge

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#52269

    RP90+90–92+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Apr 2019
The 2018 Marjosse is made up of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc with a splash of old Malbec. Big old barrels were used for 25% of the crop. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with a compelling nose of baking spices, raspberry pie, warm red and black currants, rose hip tea and fragrant earth with a waft of wild sage. Medium-bodied, the palate is filled with fragrant red and black fruit, framed by great freshness and soft, supple tannins, finishing on a floral note.
    VN90+90–92 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2019
The 2018 Marjosse offers lovely black currant and raspberry aromas, fresh and vibrant in the glass; plum jam and black olive notes emerge with time. The palate is underpinned by fine tannins, good substance and a crisp, cedar-tinged finish that is a pure joy. A must-buy from Pierre Lurton’s home estate.

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#53342

Based on 74% Syrah and 26% Grenache brought up in in a combination of concrete tanks (for the Grenache) and one year old demi-muids (for the Syrah), the 2018 Cotes Du Roussillon Bastide Miraflors is a knockout bottle of wine. It offers loads of black fruits, roasted herbs, peppered meat, violets, and bacon fat as well as full-bodied richness, a round, opulent style, ripe tannins, and a blockbuster finish. It’s one of the finest values out there.

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#55436

    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/22/2021
A richer styled wine (I’ve compared this cuvée to a Chardonnay from Mark Aubert), the 2020 Novellum has a medium gold hue as well as a rich, powerful bouquet of caramelized lemon, honeyed almonds, candle wax, and toasted bread. Rich, medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, and balanced, this is another no brainer purchase.

  15. Broadside Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#53492

    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020
Opaque ruby. Deep-pitched scents of ripe black/blue fruits, vanilla and succulent herbs. Plush and open-knit, offering smoke-tinged blackberry cherry, licorice and bitter chocolate flavors complemented by spicy oak tones. Fruit-driven and approachable, finishing with rounded tannins and a touch of cracked pepper.
    WE8888 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2021
Blackberry, loamy soil, incense and roasted meat aromas show on the nose of this bottling. It lands on the palate with clean red fruit and sharp acidity, as waves of pine and smoke ride slightly chunky tannins into the finish.
