    Brut Rosé
    NV / 750 ml. | Item#55933

    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 14th Oct 2021
Pale in color, the NV Saumur Brut Rosé Corail is a pure Cabernet Franc with a very light pink color and a delicate nose that intermingles red fruit aromas with floral notes. Aged on the lees for at least nine months, this is a supple, round and harmonious sparkling wine with intense, well-structured fruit and texture, and it has a long and aromatic finish. The mousse is very delicate and gentle. This is a very charming Brut from Saumur. Tasted in June 2021.

  4. Claude Riffault Sancerre Les Chasseignes

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#57474

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Jan 2022
From gravelly limestone soils and made with fruit from nearly a dozen east- and southeast-facing parcels at 275 meters in altitude, the 2020 Sancerre Les Chasseignes opens with an initially greenish, refreshing bouquet. It offers white fruit and coolish stones aromas on the elegant and moderately intense nose but gains in complexity if aerated for some days in the open bottle. Round and elegant on the palate, this full-bodied and refreshing Sancerre reveals a finely intense and concentrated texture with ripe, fleshy yellow plum notes and delicate grip from ripe tannins and aging sur lie, but it finishes with the purity and mineral freshness of an excellent Sancerre. The finish is long, dense and savory. Les Chasseignes seems to be richer and rounder than Les Denisottes and Les Chailloux yet initially lacks the tension and structure of those, which makes the alcohol more palatable. However, this is still an excellent wine. And, tasted again after 11 (!) days from the same bottle, it’s even a great Sancerre. 14% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in January 2022.

  9. François Chidaine Montlouis Sur Loire Méthode Traditionnelle Brut Nature

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#58972

    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2022
This 2019 Brut Nature methode traditionelle spends 18 months on lees after undergoing its first fermentation in barrel. It has a lovely ripe apple strudel-like character alongside a nutty eloement. There’s good concentration in its core, and the bubbles are well integrated, but the sparkler is a little lower than a Champagne (at 4.5 bar compared with Champagne’s 5–6). Gentle acidity keeps this going. (Rebecca Gibb MW)

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#53478

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th Mar 2021
The unfiltered 2019 Sancerre Clos de Beaujeu comes from vines averaging 45 years of age in a southeast-facing vineyard on loamy Kimmeridgian chalk and opens with an herbal and brightly fruity bouquet. On the palate, this is a clear, fresh, round, fruity and structured Sancerre with bright fruit, some hazelnut nuances and long grip and salinity. Entirely vinified in used barriques for 12 months. Tasted in February 2021.
