Browse Our Finger Lakes Wines

Winemadeeasy.com has one of the largest selections of Finger Lakes wineries under one roof.

Finger Lakes wine has come a long way since the New York Farm Winery Act of 1976, which gave many wineries their start. Whereas many Finger Lakes wines were made from native grapes (such as Concord, Niagara, and Catawba) in the beginning, many international grape varieties have now found a home in this cool-climate region.

Finger Lakes wineries are now noted by many publications for their world-class quality Rieslings and ice wine. Speaking of international recognition, Finger Lakes wineries have also attracted top winemakers from outside of the U.S. including Canada, France, Germany, and Austria.

  3. Wagner Dry Rosé of Cabernet Franc

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#53952

    RP8787 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th May 2021
The 2020 Dry Rosé of Cabernet Franc is dry (a bit less than four grams of sugar and 6.4 in total acidity) and comes in at 12.8% alcohol. This has enough acidity to seem pure and fully dry, but the bold flavors are still right there on the finish too. That finish is also juicy, even a little mouthwatering. The mid-palate is solid, making this seem more serious. It can become a red wine substitute at the table in warm weather. Overall, this tastes great and has reasonable structure. It is also at a very nice price.

  9. Dr. Konstantin Frank Semi-Dry Riesling

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#31526

    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Oct 2020
The 2019 Semi-Dry Riesling comes in with 11.5% alcohol, 22 grams per liter of residual sugar and seven grams of total acidity. Not quite as aggressive as the Dry Riesling, this nonetheless shows off its nice acidity early and often. Focused, precise and pure, it has fine balance. At this price level, this (like its sibling) is a no-brainer purchase. The Dry Riesling has a lot more energy, while this is predictably lusher. Reasonable minds and personal preferences might differ as to which is better. I’d give the nod to the Dry Riesling just now, but it might depend on my mood and how I would use it.

  10. Standing Stone Vineyards Riesling

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#30510

    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2020
Under the leadership of the Hermann J. Wiemer team, this entry-level, off-dry Riesling is an outstanding success. A boisterous, perfumed nose yields aromas of citrus blossoms, pomelo, lemon oil, tangerine and fresh yellow apple. The juicy palate gives way to ripples of juicy pear, apple and pineapple flavors, lifted by a persistent vein of orange-laden acidity. It’s impeccably balanced and incredibly concentrated and fresh, with a gentle stoniness riding underneath it all. While enjoyable now, it has the structure and fruit to hold well through 2030.

  12. Ravines Dry Riesling

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#52460

    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Jun 2019
The 2017 Dry Riesling is a blend of 16 Falls Vineyard on shale and White Springs Vineyard on limestone. It’s dry (four grams of sugar, 8.2 of total acidity) and comes in at 12.6% alcohol. This is another example of how fine the Dry Riesling category is in the Finger Lakes. The prices are reasonable, the quality is high and the wines are available (there are more than 6,000 cases of this, out of the winery’s 26,000 or so for 2017). Intense, focused and able to age, this is a classic expression of Riesling.

  14. Sheldrake Point Dry Rosé

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#53837

    RP8787 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th May 2021
The 2020 Dry Rosé is all Cabernet Franc, coming in with six grams of residual sugar, 7.5 of total acidity and 12.2% alcohol. Light and bright, but showing fine intensity on the finish, this adds herbs and a touch of charred veggies, the Cab Franc character coming right through on opening. Eventually, that nuance faded and folded into the whole, leaving this pulpy and fruity with fresh flavors. The acidity makes this refreshing and dry, but it’s not shrill, thanks to the residual sugar. It’s not the most concentrated pink in this report, but it still seems surprisingly unctuous in texture in the mouth. This can do well on its own or with food, but I’d probably prefer to use it on its own. Drink it very young for best results.

  15. Hermann J. Wiemer Magdalena Vineyard Riesling

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#35300

    WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2021
Concentrated aromas of lemon oil, peach, pine and struck flint grace the nose of this single-vineyard Riesling. It’s rounded and full in feel on the palate, filled out by juicy orchard fruit flavors yet expertly honed by zesty acidity and a delicate grip of white tea. A lemon oil tone lingers on the finish, but with ample lift and length.
