  1. Red Electric Interurban Pinot Noir

    2016 / 750 ml. | Item#53792

    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2019
Glimmering red. Spice-accented red fruit and rose oil on the nose, along with notes of white pepper, allspice and musky earth. Juicy and focused in the mouth, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors with a touch of medicinal bitterness. Turns sweeter with air and shows very good energy on the persistent finish, which is firmed by dusty, fine-grained tannins that fold smoothly into the wine’s fruit.

    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - August 1, 2018
A curious nonvintage blend of muller-thurgau, gewurztraminer, riesling and pinot gris, this aromatic white starts out both flinty and floral, with a spring-herb scent. The flavors are grapey and bright, shaped by an angular acidity; to pair with twice-cooked pork.

Brilliant garnet. Spice-accented red and blue fruits, candied flowers and baking spices on the perfumed nose. A spine of juicy acidity supports spice-tinged black raspberry, bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors, and a minerally flourish emerges with air. Turns sweeter on the persistent finish, which is framed by fine-grained, slow-building tannins. 30% new oak.

    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2020
This Pinot Noir includes 30% Hyland Vineyard fruit. Brisk black-cherry scents and flavors come with a roasted, grilled quality. Those charred notes carry over into the finish, which is surprisingly substantial for a wine at this price.

Bright-rimmed ruby. A deeply perfumed bouquet evokes ripe dark berries, cherry cola, licorice and potpourri, and a spicy nuance emerges with air. Pliant boysenberry and cherry liqueur flavors show fine definition and tighten up slowly with air. Shows lingering dark fruit character on the persistent finish, which is framed by youthfully chewy, slow-mounting tannins.

    WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 7/1/2020
What can be asked of a $22 Oregon Pinot Noir? Decent depth, varietal flavor, well-managed tannins — all present and accounted for here. There’s a mix of red and blue berries, and a wash of wet stone adding texture to the mouthfeel. The finish falls a bit short, but that’s what separates it from the pricier bottles.

Tart and perky, this fruit-forward red offers cherry and black tea accents that finish with lively tannins. Drink now through 2023. 161,801 cases made.

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#52665

    RP8989 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2020
The 2018 Pinot Noir is the largest cuvée for Erath, with a production of 221,431 cases this vintage, and it’s a great value wine that’s widely available. The nose has bright aromas of blood orange, red berries, earth and tar, and the palate is light-bodied, crunchy, energetic and fresh with a spicy finish. It was aged eight months in 20% new French oak.

Aromas of ripe mixed cherries and berries sit within attractively spicy and earthy nuances. There’s a succulent feel to the palate with a long, plush stream of fresh, fleshy red and dark cherries. Long, cherry-pip finish. Drink or hold.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Feb 28, 2021
Dynamic and well-knit, with vibrant black raspberry, spiced tea and violet accents that gather richness toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2027. 8,572 cases made.

Juicy and seamless in the mouth, offering bitter cherry, raspberry and spicecake flavors that unfurl steadily and become sweeter on the back half. Finishes on a juicy berry note, displaying well-knit tannins and lingering spice and floral notes. 30% new oak.
