"The 2019 Nervo Ranch Heritage is an Alexander Valley release, and the vines here were planted in the late 1890s on a 30-degree slope of shale just outside the town of Geyserville. Lots of spice, herbes de Provence, mulled cherries, and licorice notes all emerge from this beauty, and it’s medium-bodied, with a lively, elegant texture, present tannins, and a good finish. "A powerful, explosive wine, the 2019 Nervo Heritage Wine possesses tremendous energy right out of the gate. Crushed flowers, mint and spice lend striking aromatic nuance. The tannins are a big edgy at the moment, but time in bottle should take care of that. I imagine the 2019 will be positively stellar with a bit of bottle age." (95 pts.)
