This wines color is very dark ruby and nearly opaque while offering lifted aromas of dark currant, black raspberry followed by hints of sage and lavender floral notes. There are baking spices and hints of toffee and espresso. The palate is plush and punchy with forward style tannins yet firm and bold followed by flavors of dark cherries, chocolate and candied licorice. The finish is long and persistent with fine grained tannins. Best from 2015 to 2025.

RP95Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate 30th Dec 2015
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Three Acre shows beautiful sweet crème de cassis, spring flowers and blacker berry fruit. It has an intriguing wild mountain berry note. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated, opulent and sexy, this is the wine to drink now and over the next 15–20 years." (95 pts.)
VN92Vinous Oct 2015
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Three Acre has turned out beautifully. Plump, juicy and deeply expressive, the 2013 is quite expressive this year, especially within the context of the vintage. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, new leather and licorice meld together in a supple, creamy Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next decade or so. Dollops of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc round out the blend." (92 pts.)

When it comes to US wine production, California is King. California wines account for almost 90% of all wines produced in the United States each year, and is home to the most celebrated vineyards and producers in the country. California is probably best known for its world-famous Cabernets and Chardonnays, many of which hail from its two most-acclaimed AVAs, Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Other prominent grapes used in California wines include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel (which California made popular).
The United States now ranks fourth in the world in wine production behind, France, Italy, and Spain. While about 90% of that wine is produced in California, other states like Oregon, New York, and Washington are establishing themselves as prime spots for wine production, as well. Just about any variety of wine can be found in production somewhere in the United States.
RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2015 The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Casey’s Lakeview is similarly inky bluish/purple to the rim. Tasting like blood, this wine is dense and rich with lots of chocolate, espresso, earth and spice. It is deep, full-bodied, and again, a masculine style of wine that needs at least 4–5 years of cellaring and should keep for 25 or more years.VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Oct 2015 Darker tonalities of fruit along with distinctly savory undertones are two of the signatures in the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Casey’s Lakeview Vineyard. Rich, ample and powerful, the Casey’s Lakeview offers notable richness to fill out its broad-shouldered frame. Hints of lavender and mint add nuance in a virile Cabernet Sauvignon that needs at least a few years to fully come together.
