Feather Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 / 750 ml.

Item#: 59870

JD9595 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/9/2022
All Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Feather is a rich, powerful wine loaded with notions of cassis, graphite, scorched earth, and crushed stone. Full-bodied on the palate and concentrated, it has building tannins, a great mid-palate, and the balance and class to benefit from 4–5 years of bottle age and, I suspect, evolve for decades. (Jeb Dunnuck)
VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2023
Dark and exotic in the glass, the 2019 Feather, a varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, impresses with a burst of dusty rose and black raspberries lifted by a hint of fresh mint. This is supremely elegant, with silky textures and wild berry fruit underscored by saline-minerals and silty coating tannins forming toward the close. The Feather displays its heroic structure through the finale, tapering off with tremendous length, as notes of sweet tobacco and lavender slowly fade. While this is youthfully poised today, the 2019 will pay dividends in the cellar. (Eric Guido)
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2023
Refined and keenly structured, with expressive blackberry, mocha and dusky spices that take on tension toward broad-shouldered tannins. Drink now through 2030. 3,840 cases made. (Tim Fish)

The United States now ranks fourth in the world in wine production behind, France, Italy, and Spain. While about 90% of that wine is produced in California, other states like Oregon, New York, and Washington are establishing themselves as prime spots for wine production, as well. Just about any variety of wine can be found in production somewhere in the United States.

Doubleback Estate Reserve 2019 / 750 ml.

2019 / 750 ml.

Item #: 56823

VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The 2019 Estate Reserve is an intense blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon with 25% Petit Verdot and 3% Merlot, crafted by the talented Josh McDaniels. Needing a two-hour decant to be fully expressive, it reveals deep tar tones on the nose, alongside shades of blackberry cordial and crème de violette. Full-bodied and well-structured, with serious weight and finesse, it’s already showing well following some air. Enjoy this beauty over the next 20 years.
VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2023
The 2019 Estate Reserve bursts from the glass with wild floral and exotic citrus tones offset by sweet smoke and mentholated herbs. Further swirling brings forward deeper undertones of black cherry and cocoa. This boasts velvety textures perfectly contrasted by tart wild berry fruits and citrus-tinged acidity that creates a sensation of boundless energy within, as silky tannins slowly mount toward the close. The 2019 tapers off with youthful tension and structured. Notes of sour cherry and inner tobacco tones slowly fade. This is going to need an extended stay in the cellar to come fully into balance, but it will be worth waiting for. (Eric Guido)

A zesty, toasty red, with medium-bodied currant and black cherry flavors accented by espresso and spices. Ends with snappy tannins. Drink now through 2028. 145,000 cases made. (Tim Fish)
WE8888 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/1/2022
Aromas of rose petal, dried herb, chocolate and cherry lead to pleasing dark-fruit and chocolate flavors that paint around the edges, considerably lighter in the middle. What’s there impresses and delivers a lot of value. (Sean P. Sullivan)
