Signorello Padrone 2010 / 750 ml.

Item#: 37858

RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2013
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Padrone (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) boasts a blockbuster nose of blackberries, blueberries, camphor and acacia flowers. Sweet tannins and a wonderful sucrosity and ripeness on the palate conceal some serious structure. This pure, long, full, rich wine possesses lots of black fruits as well as an impressive finish that lasts nearly 45 seconds. It should be consumed over the next 15–20 years.
WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2014
This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in the winery’s estate vineyard, on the east side of Napa Valley. It’s awesomely rich and ripe, delivering heady blackberry, blueberry, cassis liqueur, cola and new oak flavors that are as long in the finish as they are deep. With thick tannins, it’s clearly a wine you need to cellar. Drink 2016–2020 and beyond.

When it comes to US wine production, California is King. California wines account for almost 90% of all wines produced in the United States each year, and is home to the most celebrated vineyards and producers in the country. California is probably best known for its world-famous Cabernets and Chardonnays, many of which hail from its two most-acclaimed AVAs, Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Other prominent grapes used in California wines include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel (which California made popular).

RP9999 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2013
Teasing the taster with a possible three-digit perfection is the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill. This beauty shows lots of creme de cassis, blueberry liqueur, spring flower and forest floor notes in an opulent, full-bodied, powerful, dense, rich style buttressed by significant ripe tannins and decent acidity. Again, the striking purity and singular character of this Bryant Cabernet Sauvignon oozes potential as well as pedigree. This spectacular, young Cabernet should turn out to be one of the all-time great Bryant Cabernet Sauvignons, rivaling their 1997, but slightly more structured. Forget this one for 3–4 years and drink it over the following three decades.
RP96+96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 26th Dec 2012
Smoke, tar, incense and licorice are some of the many notes that emerge from the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an especially dark, brooding vintage for Bryant. Cassis, pencil shavings and melted road tar emerge later, adding further complexity and nuance. Unlike the 2009, there is little in the way of early appeal. On the other hand, I see the 2010 drinking beautifully for many, many years. There is an underlying vein of minerality that gives the 2010 a sense of energy and focus. Anticipated maturity: 2018–2030.
VN95+95+ pts. - Vinous - May 2017
Bright red-ruby. A captivating cool aspect to the aromas of black raspberry, licorice and graphite. Classic youthfully dense, savory wine in a rather Old World style, showing a beautifully refined texture and a distinctly briney minerality to its flavors of blackcurrant, black cherry and chocolate. Clearly less viscous in texture than the 2009 but as strong in extract. The wine’s huge but thoroughly ripe tannins shut down the chewy, savory, very long finish in the early going. This beauty should unfold spectacularly over the next 20 years.
SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2013
Seductive oak has a smooth vanilla bean edge, leading to a rich yet elegant core of spicy berry, mineral, mocha, gravelly earth and road tar. Most impressive on the finish, where the flavors retain their graceful balance and end with a long, persistent finish. Drink now through 2025.

A dark, sumptuous wine, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Somerston boasts stunning depth, power and richness. Mocha, chocolate, espresso and cloves flesh out in this intense, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. There is so much fruit, the tannins of the vintage are nearly buried. A full throttle, opulent Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2010 is a gorgeous wine from start to finish and a terrific example of the vintage. The 2010 is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2017–2030.

Colgin Cariad | Napa Valley Red Wine 2010 / 750 ml.

Napa Valley Red Wine
2010 / 750 ml.

Item #: 54061

RP100100 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2013
The 2010 Proprietary Red Cariad reveals great intensity along with abundant notes of unsmoked tobacco leaf interwoven with blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, charcoal and coffee bean nuances as well as a Pauillac-like lead pencil shaving character. This blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 14% Cabernet Franc is one of the finest wines I tasted over the 12 days I spent tasting in Napa Valley in late August and early September. This remarkable 2010 should drink beautifully for 20 or more years.
VN95+95+ pts. - Vinous - May 2013
Saturated, bright ruby-red. Deeper and darker on the nose than the Tychson Hill cabernet, offering vibrant scents of blackcurrant, graphite minerality and bitter chocolate. At once round and delineated in the mouth, with dark berry and mineral flavors displaying outstanding depth without excess weight. With its very firm tannic structure, this typically Medoc-like wine will need a good eight to ten years to evolve in bottle and may ultimately merit an even higher rating. These vines in Madrona Vineyard in St. Helena were planted on an alluvial fan in the 1980s.
JS9595 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Wednesday, May 14, 2014
Lots of ripe fruit, chocolate and iron. Full body, with loads of velvety tannins and a round and rich palate. It is round and mouthfilling yet fresh and beautiful. Delicious already but will improve with age.
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2013
Notable for its charcoal and graphite woodiness, along with its edgy entry into the core of dark berry fruit. Keeps you at arm’s length, with the flavors both concentrated and nuanced. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2024. 550 cases made.

RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 26th Dec 2012
The 2010 Red Wine EE is gorgeous. Freshly cut flowers, cassis, menthol, licorice and black cherries burst from the glass. All the elements are nicely balanced in this delicious, totally beautiful wine. Hints of cloves, roasted coffee beans, menthol, and graphite add complexity on a distinctly Cabernet Franc-laced finish. The 2010 is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2015–2025.

Philip Togni Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

2014 / 750 ml.

Item #: 44920

VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2016
Togni’s 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is quite dark and powerful, but also very much medium in body. Graphite, smoke, savory herbs, mint, leather and a core of inky dark red and purplish fruit infuse this deep, beautifully layered Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2014 is a wine built on energy and aromatics that won’t hit its stride until at least age ten.
VN94+94–97 pts. - Vinous - Oct 2015
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is wonderfully savory and mineral, with a host of graphite, liquefied rock, floral and dark stone fruit notes that open up in the glass. Energetic, crystalline and beautifully focused throughout, the 2014 exudes class from the very first taste. Stylistically, it is a bit less generous than the 2013 was at the same stage in its life. This hypothetical blend is every bit as striking as the individual component lots suggested when I tasted them this past spring. Philip Togni adds that a larger than normal crop stretched out the harvest. Today, the 2014 is shaping up to be another uber-classic wine from Togni.
RP94+94+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2016
The flagship wine, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate from his vineyard high on Spring Mountain is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. It seems slightly more approachable and civilized for a young Togni wine, with a dense ruby/purple color, loads of blackcurrant, licorice, and graphite, some earth and spice, but very subtle earth nuances. It is full-bodied and rich, but the tannins are well-integrated and don’t scream as loudly as some vintages of Togni can. For Togni, this is probably one of his more forward and precociously styled Cabernets. It will probably approach drinkability in several years, but don’t discount its aging potential, as this easily has 20–25 years of cellaring potential.

Larkmead Dr. Olmo

Cabernet Sauvignon
2015 / 750 ml.

Item #: 52055

VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2018
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Olmo has really come together since I last tasted it from barrel. Graphite, smoke, crushed rocks, spice and rose petal overtones give the 2015 Dr. Olmo its distinctive aromatic signatures. The 2015 finishes with remarkable tension and energy. What a gorgeous wine it is.
JD9696 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - December 29, 2017
Of the three top Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Olmo is the most classic expression of Cabernet and offers Pauillac-like notes of black cherry, cassis, lead pencil shavings, espresso roast, and gravelly minerality. It’s full-bodied, concentrated, and structured, and will benefit from 4–5 years of bottle age and shine for 20–25 years or more. (Jeb Dunnuck)
