All Cabernet from a site on the Royal Slope, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Stoneridge Vineyard has a ruby/plum hue as well as complex, medium to full-bodied aromas and flavors of dried tobacco, baking chocolate, spice box, and tapenade. With beautiful red and black currant fruits, a plush, rounded texture, building tannins, and a great finish, it’s every bit as good as the 2015, 2016, and 2017. It’s another complex, layered, irresistible wine from this estate that will keep for a good decade. (Jeb Dunnuck)
Plum, cherry, stewed strawberry, vanilla and toffee on the nose. Some moss and bark. It’s full-bodied with firm, tight-grained tannins. Juicy and polished with intense, spiced and dried-fruit aromas. Chewy finish. Drink or hold.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Stoneridge Vineyard has a dark magenta core and aromas of dusty black cherry skin and black tea before elements of vanilla and sweet oak sway from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the Cabernet is still tight with a firm tannic backbone before offering dark red fruit essences that lingers with a delightfully expressive, mineral-laced finish. Give it one more year in bottle and drink through 2028. Just over 4,900 bottles were produced. (Anthony Mueller)

Rich and delicious to consume now, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Mountain shows off ripe blackberry, black cherry and scorched earth tones on the palate. Full-bodied, with good finesse and depth, this youthful Cabernet Sauvignon will provide drinking enjoyment over the next decade.
The 2018 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon starts with a firm, dusty and juicy nose with aromas of tasty black cherry, wilted lavender and roses with elements of redcurrants and crème de cassis. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is juicy and features dusty tannins, with flavors of black plum and juicy black Raspberry skin across the mid-palate. The Cabernet concludes with firm, tannic edge and a lingering flavor of crème de violette. This rested for 20 months in French oak, 40% new, and represents a great value for the price. 252,000 bottles were filled.
Structured yet supple, with vibrant black cherry, toasty mocha and spice flavors that finish with polished tannins. Drink now through 2028. 21,755 cases made.

The flagship from this great estate is the 2018 Sorella, a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend (8% each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot and the 4% Petit Verdot) that spent the same 22 months in 35% new French oak. Gorgeous crème de cassis, tobacco leaf, lead pencil, and chocolate define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, flawlessly balanced, and has a great, great finish. A classically styled, structured, age-worthy beauty, it will benefit from 4–5 years of bottle age and have 2–3 decades of overall longevity. Trust me, this will pass undetected in a blind lineup of top Bordeaux. (Jeb Dunnuck)
Set to be released in spring of 2023, the 2018 Sorella is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% each of Merlot and Cabernet Franc with Petit Verdot filling in the remainder. Juicy, dusty and spicy aromas waft from the glass with succulent, floral notes that capture the nose. Spiced red cherries, potpourri and dusty black raspberry essences cartwheel with notions of lavender and rose hip before offering up delicate baking spices. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is initially subdued and grows in amplitude while offering a balanced structure with succulent tannins. The longer the wine sits on the palate, it increases in spiciness under the ripe, juicy dark red fruit tones. The Sorella continues to evolve in the mouth with persistence, lingering long, leaving behind flavors graphite, crème de cassis and black cherry skin. Just under 8,000 bottles were filled after the wine rested for 22 months in all French oak, 35% new. Set your calendar and put this on your shopping list for when it’s released. Bravo, another stunning vintage of Sorella on the books. (Anthony Mueller)
The 2018 Sorella is youthly coy in the glass, with a darkly alluring blend of dusty dried flowers, cinnamon and clove nuances giving way to pretty hints of violet pastilles. There’s an abundance of energy within, as tart cherries and blackberries cascade across a core of zesty acidity, and sour citrus hints adding a lovely tension toward the close. A coating of fine tannins frames the finish, creating a truly classic feel, as the 2018 tapers off with a staining of primary concentration. (Eric Guido)

The 2018 Red Wine is another stunner from this talented team. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot aged 23 months in a mix of new and used barrels, it has an incredibly pure bouquet of both red and blue fruits as well as graphite, violets, and blood orange. Playing in the medium to full-bodied end of the spectrum, it stays tight and focused on the palate, with a beautiful mouthfeel, ripe yet firm, chalky tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great, great finish. It’s a gorgeous wine that will benefit from 3–5 years of bottle age and cruise for 15–20+ in cold cellars. (Jeb Dunnuck)
The 2018 Red Wine Estate might just be the best edition ever of this incredible high-elevation bottling. It’s nothing short of a blending masterpiece by Chris Figgins and his winemaking team. This thing is massive monster of a wine that really needs several hours of air to get going. But once tamed, the aromatics explode out of the glass, unveiling dark currants, roasted figs, black rose petals and creosote tones with shades of green bell pepper from the Petit Verdot. The palate is soft and opulent in the mouth. Layers of crème de cassis, anise, violets, dark cherry cordial, graphite and espresso bean with green bell pepper undertones all brilliantly combine with a vibrant sense of tension, and firm tannins hold everything in place. While this is extraordinary to savor upon release, try your best to resist it for at least a few more years.
Blackcurrant, blackberry, walnut and mint chocolate on the nose, as well as hints of radish and mocha. It’s full-bodied with firm, ripe tannins. Concentrated and chewy with a dense core of black fruit. Solid and tight. Cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and merlot. Give this time. Try from 2024.
Aromas of macerated cherry, coffee, flower, licorice and date lead to cherry, cranberry and raspberry flavors that give a full impression on the palate. There’s plenty of precision and detail to be had, so much acidity and a quite firm tannic structure. A big, burly, beautiful wine, it will last and drink well as long as you care to keep it. Don’t go near it now. Best after 2032.
A dynamic and refined red, with detailed blackberry, green olive and spicy espresso flavors that build tension and polish on the long finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. 1,562 cases made.
Immediately impressive in the glass, the 2018 Estate Red Wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot with aromas of juicy and ripe blackberry, spiced black cherry preserves, elegant floral tones and elements of boysenberry and blueberry with a soft amount of volatility. Full-bodied, generous and full of flavor, the blend displays power and finesse, unpacking layers of complexity with a tight tannic grip that will loosen with additional bottle age. The wine somersaults to a spectacular finish with a firm, juicy and dusty sensation that gives pleasure at every turn. The wine rested for for 23 months in new and used French oak barrels. Just give it another few years in the bottle for the wine to shed its baby fat. Just under 19,000 bottles were filled. Impressive; Bravo!

A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% each of Merlot and Syrah that spent 20 months in 55% new barrels, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon offers lots of spiced red and black fruits as well as notes of iron, toasted spice, and sandalwood. Nicely textured and medium-bodied, with both fruit and richness as well as a good sense of elegance, it’s ideal for drinking any time over the coming 10–15 years. As Cabernet Sauvignon goes, you’d pay three times the price for the quality if it was from Napa. (Jeb Dunnuck)
Full dark ruby. Inky, brooding aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, licorice, menthol, black pepper and tree bark; shows more of a green edge than Drew Bledsoe’s Doubleback wines. Very concentrated, dark and deep, with inky yet surprisingly suave flavors of black fruits, spices, licorice and bitter chocolate. Not a particularly herbal style of Cabernet, ultimately. Finishes with serious dusty tannins and lingering notes of bitter chocolate and black pepper. A bit folded in on itself and tannic in the early going, showing limited sweetness today, but built to age. And very Cabernet Sauvignon! Incidentally, this wine was previously called Flying B Cabernet Sauvignon.

Lots of ripe cherry, mulberry, and currant-like fruits as well as spice, beef broth, and dried herb notes, emerge from the 2018 Merlot Stoneridge Vineyard. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a soft, plush texture, terrific mid-palate depth (which can be lacking in a number of Merlots), sweet tannins, and a great finish. Drink bottles any time over the coming decade. (Jeb Dunnuck)
A full-bodied, plush red with aromas of plums, cherries, vanilla, rust and hazelnut. Polished and spiced with a full, creamy palate and fine-grained tannins. Flavorful finish. Drink or hold.

Currants, flowers and walnuts on the nose. Medium-bodied with a pretty core of fruit and fine tannins and a crisp finish. Lead pencil. Fresh. Compact. Delicate and delicious. Enjoy. Drink or hold.
Juicy blue fruits, leafy tobacco, violets, and orange blossom notes all emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Cs and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a beautifully balanced, fruit-forward style, no hard edges, and a great finish. It’s no simple fruit bomb and has notable structure, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It reminds me of a top Cru Bourgeois from Bordeaux and represents a stunning value. Drink it over the coming 7–8 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

Aromas of candied ginger, baked pear and fresh herbs. Full-bodied with a lovely, oily texture. Layered flavors of chamomile and lavender at the beginning, but turns toward fresh cream and then the note of candied ginger on the nose returns. Linear and balanced. Drink now.
The 2020 Chardonnay CH lifts from the glass with a confectionary mix of candied apple, baking spice and mint. This is round and opulent in feel with cooling acidity to balance, as the 2020 traverses spectrums of tropical melon and ripe orchard fruits. It cleans up beautifully through the finish, leaving a twang of saline-minerality, as pretty inner florals slowly fade. (Eric Guido)
A golden yellow color in the glass, the 2020 Ch Chardonnay offers aromas of blown sand, yellow apple and pastry cream with elements of popcorn kernel and sweet citrus. Medium-bodied, the wine offers a delightful mineral and textural drive over the mid-palate before expressing a clean and delightful finish that delivers at a great price. The wine rested in 25% new French oak. Just over 400,000 bottles were produced. (Anthony Mueller)
