Shop for Zinfandel

Zinfandel wine is one of the truly "American" wine sensations in the marketplace. Nowhere else in the world is the Zinfandel grape grown so extensively and with such success. And to narrow it down even further, the Zinfandel grape, which makes both Red Zinfandel and White Zinfandel wines, is grown primarily in California.

Red Zinfandel wine is typically bold in flavor, with a rich, lush texture, and typically high alcohol content. Among other things, Zinfandel pairs perfectly with barbecue (another American tradition).

You'll find a fantastic selection of Zinfandels to choose from here at WineMadeEasy.com!

  6. Marietta Old Vine Red

    Lot Number 73 / 750 ml. | Item#58449

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 14th Jul 2022
The NV OVR Lot 73 is composed mainly of Zinfandel with smaller portions of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carignan and Barbera. Medium ruby, it offers intense red cherry, blood orange and apricot perfume with accents of rooibos tea leaves, red licorice, saline, lilac and loads of spicy nuances. The medium-bodied palate is light on its feet with soft tannins, bursts of refreshing acidity and detailed amaro accents on the long finish. This is so easy to drink! (Erin Brooks)

  9. Carlisle Russian River Valley Carlisle Vineyard Zinfandel

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57369

    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022
The 2019 Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard is a gorgeous, wonderfully complete wine that shows why this site is so highly regarded. Red berry fruit, rose petal, leather, blood orange and spice open in a bouquet that is so compelling. Silky tannins wrap around a huge core of fruit as the Carlisle envelops every corner of the palate. Deep, layered and beautifully persistent, the Carlisle is wonderfully vivid from the very first taste. I loved it.
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2022

  10. Bedrock Old Vine Zinfandel

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#54345

    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2019 Zinfandel Old Vine is gorgeous. Bright acids and floral overtones perk up the red berry fruit in a Zinfandel that delivers the goods, and plenty more. Bright and beautifully layered, the 2019 hits all the right notes. Then again, it is a blend of stellar sites, including Bedrock, Nervo, Sodini, Evangelho, Katushas’, Teldeschi, Pagani Ranch and Old Hill. Because of the COVID pandemic and uncertain short-term economic outlook, the 2019 includes quite a bit of wine that in more normal times would he bottled in the vineyard designates. Stated simply: buy as much as you can.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2021
This Zin packs in a lot of structure and personality, with vibrant black cherry, smoky garrigue and green peppercorn notes that build toward broad-shouldered tannins. Drink now through 2029. 4,000 cases made.
    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
The 2019 Zinfandel Old Vine offers a more savory, darker fruited, spicy style and has loads of character. Blackberries, plums, cedary incense, flowers, and loamy soil all define the nose, and it has medium-bodied density and depth, ripe tannins, and outstanding length.

    Benito Dusi Ranch
    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#57608

    VN8989 pts. - Vinous - May 2022
The 2020 Zinfandel Paso Robles, the second selection from Benito Dusi, is nicely done. It offers up an array of dark fruit, orange peel, coffee and exotic spice, all in a nervy, mid-weight style that is quite attractive. The Paso Zinfandel is not as plush as it can be, but that’s the vintage. Picked early?

The 2018 Zinfandel (Russian River) is bright, punchy and full of the energy that makes this vintage so compelling. Succulent dark cherry, plum, chocolate, lavender, licorice, spice, menthol and pine add aromatic character to this bold, dark Zinfandel.

    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 13th Feb 2020
Already bottled, the 2018 Zinfandel Russian River Valley has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and sings of blackberry pie, blueberry compote and raspberry preserves with hints of mossy tree bark, hoisin and Indian spices.
