Shop for Zinfandel

Zinfandel wine is one of the truly "American" wine sensations in the marketplace. Nowhere else in the world is the Zinfandel grape grown so extensively and with such success. And to narrow it down even further, the Zinfandel grape, which makes both Red Zinfandel and White Zinfandel wines, is grown primarily in California.

Red Zinfandel wine is typically bold in flavor, with a rich, lush texture, and typically high alcohol content. Among other things, Zinfandel pairs perfectly with barbecue (another American tradition).

You'll find a fantastic selection of Zinfandels to choose from here at!

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 14th Jul 2022
The NV OVR Lot 73 is composed mainly of Zinfandel with smaller portions of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carignan and Barbera. Medium ruby, it offers intense red cherry, blood orange and apricot perfume with accents of rooibos tea leaves, red licorice, saline, lilac and loads of spicy nuances. The medium-bodied palate is light on its feet with soft tannins, bursts of refreshing acidity and detailed amaro accents on the long finish. This is so easy to drink! (Erin Brooks)

Lovely aromas of pitted red cherries, black cherries, moss and walnut. Medium-to full-bodied with gentle tannins. Nice intensity with lovely length. Juicy, with so much herbal complexity and black fruit. Predominantly zinfandel, with syrah, petite sirah, grenache, barbera, carignan. Drink now.

A ripe, juicy red with blackberry, mushroom, old-bark and tobacco character. Woody and tarry. Some moss, too. Full-bodied with round tannins and a flavorful finish. Mostly zinfandel. Real red. Drink now.

Marietta’s Red Old Vine Lot 72 is a delicious, Zinfandel-based blend to drink now and over the next handful of years, while the red Zinfandel fruit remains vibrant. Once again, the Old Vine Red delivers insane quality for the money.
    JD8888 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/4/21
The NV OVR Old Vine Red Lot 72, a multi-vintage and multi-vineyard blend of mostly Zinfandel, is better balanced and charming, with lots of ripe red and black fruits, spice, brambly herbs, and candied orange-like aromas and flavors. It’s balanced, has light tannins and wonderful fruit, and is just a charming, delicious style ideal for enjoying over the coming 3–4 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#54665

    JS9494 pts. - - Tuesday, April 6, 2021
A beautiful red with lots of blackberries, cloves, stone, spice and purple fruit. It’s full and balanced with a creamy texture and a flavorful finish. Some graphite to the black fruit. More zin this year in the blend. 71% zinfandel, 19% carignan, 7% petite sirah and 3% alicante bouschet. Drink now.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2021
Deeply structured, yet nimble on its feet. Blackberry, fresh fennel and brown baking spices build richness and layers toward medium-grained tannins. Zinfandel, Carignane, Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet. Drink now through 2030. 11,000 cases made.
    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
The 2019 Zinfandel Geyserville is 71% Zinfandel, 19% Carignan, and the rest Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet. This was a cooler vintage yet this wine reveals plenty of ripeness in its black and blue fruits as well as violets, cigar, and toasted spice-like aromas and flavors. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and expansive on the palate, it has some obvious minerality, building tannins, and a great finish. It’s not going to match the 2018, but it’s still a complete, nuanced, complex Zinfandel that will keep for 10–15 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
