Zinfandel wine is one of the truly "American" wine sensations in the marketplace. Nowhere else in the world is the Zinfandel grape grown so extensively and with such success. And to narrow it down even further, the Zinfandel grape, which makes both Red Zinfandel and White Zinfandel wines, is grown primarily in California.

Red Zinfandel wine is typically bold in flavor, with a rich, lush texture, and typically high alcohol content. Among other things, Zinfandel pairs perfectly with barbecue (another American tradition).

You'll find a fantastic selection of Zinfandels to choose from here at WineMadeEasy.com!

Deep garnet in color, the 2014 Zinfandel Fighting Brothers offers an abundance of black fruit preserves and blueberry pie notes plus underlying spice cake, incense and chocolate box hints. The richly fruited, full-bodied palate is packed with dried berries and spice layers, framed by velvety tannins and much needed freshness, which contributes a lively lift to the weighty finish.

    Estate Grown Zinfandel
    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#55348

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 3rd Jun 2021
The 2019 Román Zinfandel (blended with 4% Barbera and 2% Petite Sirah) has a medium ruby-purple color and gregarious scents of candied peach, wild berry preserves, orange peel and tar. The palate is deeply fruited but light on its feet with bright freshness and loads of perfume on the long finish.
    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2019 Román is a blend of Zinfandel, with dollops of Petite Sirah and Barbera, varieties I don’t think I have ever seen together before. A whole range of floral, savory and earthy notes lend complexity to this bold, flavorful red. This is another wine in the range that offers superb value.

  13. Carlisle Russian River Valley Papera Ranch Zinfandel

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#55894

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 3rd Jun 2021
Vibrant ruby-purple in the glass, the 2019 Zinfandel Papera Ranch (blended with 4% Carignan) has an alluring perfume of woodsmoke, tea leaves, graphite, licorice and intense, spicy bramble fruit. The palate is delicate and perfumed this vintage, with loads of juicy lift and floral layers. 1,001 cases produced.
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2022
Shows presence and richness, with a touch of old-school briar that’s deeply structured yet never weighty. Delivers black cherry and tart blueberry flavors accented by dusty sage, licorice and floral notes, which build toward refined tannins. Drink now through 2032. 1,001 cases made.
    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
Coming from the Russian River, the 2019 Zinfandel Papera Ranch is a juicy, blue and red-fruited effort offering lots of candied violets, tobacco, and orange blossom aromatics, medium-bodied richness, light tannins, and a juicy, nicely focused mouthfeel. This elegant, focused, nicely structured Zinfandel is good today but will be better with another year of bottle age and should see its 10th birthday in fine form.

The 2018 Zinfandel (Russian River) is bright, punchy and full of the energy that makes this vintage so compelling. Succulent dark cherry, plum, chocolate, lavender, licorice, spice, menthol and pine add aromatic character to this bold, dark Zinfandel.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2020
This bursts with fresh and floral boysenberry aromas and flavors, gathering black licorice and smoky cracked pepper notes on the way to refined tannins. Drink now through 2030. 2,400 cases made.
    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 13th Feb 2020
Already bottled, the 2018 Zinfandel Russian River Valley has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and sings of blackberry pie, blueberry compote and raspberry preserves with hints of mossy tree bark, hoisin and Indian spices. JS9494 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, April 6, 2021
Soft and round with dried fruit, light raisin and pepper. Some chocolate, too. It’s medium-bodied, juicy and flavorful. Spicy finish. Pure zin. Drink now.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2021
Sleek and multilayered, with dynamic yet elegant raspberry, grilled fennel and cracked pepper flavors that build structure and richness on the long finish. Drink now through 2030. 4,300 cases made.
    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
Lots of plums, cigar wrapper, candied violets, and flowery incense notes emerge from the 2019 Zinfandel Paso Robles. It’s a ripe yet seamless, sexy Zinfandel from Paso Robles that has sweet tannins, a wonderful sense of weightlessness, and outstanding length.
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2021
There’s a lavish density of dark fruit on the nose of this bottling as well as hints of smoke and wood. The blackberry flavors of the palate are well focused, upheld by firm tannins and tight acidity, with light herbs coming through on the fresh, vibrant finish.
