  1. Colle Bereto Chianti Classico

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#53392

    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 15, 2020
Aromas of blood, iron and raw beef lead off, followed by flavors of cherry, plum and leather. Rich and harmonious, with a dense underlying structure and terrific length. Approachable now, but this should evolve well over the next few decades. Drink now through 2040. 3,500 cases made, 2,800 cases imported.
    JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, November 7, 2019
Lots of dried peppers here, as well as earth, dried plums and spices. Firm and tangy on the medium-bodied palate, but quite succulent on the finish. Lemon-zest aftertaste. Drink now.

    2016 / 750 ml. | Item#53978

    RP94+94+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Oct 2018
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Proprietary Red Blend Family Reserve Generations is intensely scented of warm black and red currants, Black Forest cake and blueberry compote with nuances of chocolate mint, new leather, tilled soil and fallen leaves. Full-bodied with a taut frame of grainy tannins supporting the densely packed black fruit layers, it has a long lingering minty kick on the finish.
    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2020
Features a solid range blackberry paste, fig and plum notes, with cassis bush, bittersweet cocoa and licorice root accents. The solidly grippy finish leaves a hefty impression, but this will have fans. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2021 through 2029. 2,400 cases made.

The dried lavender, elderberries and violets work very well with the overt eucalyptus and vanilla character. Warming and generous on the full-bodied palate, but structured and serious. Always a really delicious and savory wine. Drink from 2023.

  12. Frank Family Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#55193

    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 5th Nov 2020
Composed of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color and notes of blackberry compote, warm cassis and wild blueberries plus suggestions of bay leaves, menthol, unsmoked cigars and tree bark with a touch of pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating black fruit layers with loads of invigorating herbal accents and a grainy texture, finishing earthy.
    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is fresh, vibrant and fruity, all of which make it a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Ripe red berry fruit, wild flowers, mint and sweet spice are front and center. This pliant, inviting Cabernet has so much to offer.
    JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - January 27, 2021
The base appellation 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (which includes 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot) is a terrific value, offering loads of blue and black fruits as well as notes of tobacco, candied violets, Asian spices, and sandalwood. Medium to full-bodied, with rock-solid overall balance, ripe yet integrated tannins, and a great finish, this is a classic, well-made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy over the coming 10–12 years.

  13. Bodegas El Nido Clío

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#56026

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Apr 2022
Next to the 2018, I also tasted the 2019 Clio, a similar blend of 70% Monastrell and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from a vintage marked by torrential rains caused by the DANA storm in September that delivered 200+liters of rain. It fermented in stainless steel with neutral yeasts and matured in French and American oak barrels for 23 months. It’s slightly lower in alcohol than the 2018, 15.5%. I think the Cabernet was more noticeable here and it added a certain freshness to the wine, which, coupled with a little less alcohol, made the wine come through as a little cooler and more continental. All within the Chris Ringland style, of course… 50,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2020.

  14. Amici Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#56707

    RP92+92–94 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th Mar 2021
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it charges out of the gate with loads of blueberry preserves and stewed black plums notes on the nose with faint suggestions of redcurrant jelly and rose hip tea plus a waft of wild sage. Full-bodied and jam-packed with ripe black and blue fruit, it has a soft texture and perfumed finish. 10,000 cases are due to be made.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is polished, nuanced and so delicious. Silky and floral, with vibrant red-toned fruit, the Napa Valley Cabernet delivers the goods. It is a positively stellar wine from Amici. I loved it.
